Taco Pizza! A Favorite.

Taco Pizza!  What could be better than two kid pleaser recipes all rolled into one?

For the crust I just made a breadstick crust but next time I will probably do a tortilla recipe crust. For the sauce I mixed salsa and ranch dressing together and slathered it on the crust. The toppings were ground beef, seasoned with cumin, garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder, copped onions, cheese and after it was baked, I put on the lettuce mix. We served it with a side salad too because you can't forget the veggies!

Here is my recipe for breadsticks in case you wanted to try it!
Breadsticks (makes two pans- halve if you have a smaller family!)
 2c. warm water
6T. sugar or sucanat
 2t. salt
 1/2c. olive oil
6c. flour (I use fresh ground wheat)
5t. yeast

Mix all the ingredients and form dough. When dough is formed pat and roll out onto greased pan. Let them rise while you are preheating the oven. Cook in a 400* oven for 15 minutes until done. If you are making a pizza, put the toppings on before cooking. If you are making breadsticks, slice them into breadsticks before cooking. Yum!
