{Nature Walk}

Earlier this week we ventured out into the cool of the morning to gather specimens for our nature notebooks.

Pine cones, bark with moss and lichen, mushrooms, ferns, honeysuckles, roses, wild flowers, leaves and a pine branch were gathered and  readied for sketching.

I think my five year old has a natural ability to sketch.  She is a very visual learner and pays close attention to details.

Sketching in progress.  Everyone from the 2 year old to mama sketched their collected specimens.  It is always a pleasure taking time to enjoy nature and notice the beautiful things God has created.

  1. It is a joy to see your crew of nature scavengers. And then to see pencils poised in concentration as details are recorded and a memory is made.
